Gamania loyalty card June revenue up 68.7% year on year
Jul. 16, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Gamania Digital Entertainment Co, a Taiwan-based game provider, saw revenue grow 68.7% year on year in June to NT$470 million, thanks to game fans' support for the firm's new product, Atlantica, and to the popular online game called Lineage. The June revenue represents an 8.89% growth from a month earlier, which means the firm maintained good sales even in the slack season. In July Gamania will provide several RPG and 3D fighting games such as Dungeon & Fighter and Silent Plot 1 aiming to realize more profits in the upcoming summer vacation months. The firm recorded consolidated sales of NT2.69 billion in the first half of this year, up 42.10% from a year earlier, according to William Chen, Gamania's chief strategy officer. In the third quarter of this year, the company is likely to see revenues exceeding the NT$1.37 billion recorded in the first quarter, said Chen. However, he declined to make an exact sales forecast.
